Creating an encrypted archive
Encrypting your archives means that only people who know the password can open them.
To create an encrypted archive:
- Click Create
- Drag in the files you want to archive
- Choose a name and format for the archive Note: iArchiver can only encrypt Zip and 7z archives. Choose Zip format if you want to share your archives with Windows users. Choose 7z if you want to save more space.
- Tick Encrypt, pick a password and click OK
- Drag out the icon to where you want to create your archive in Finder
